Jules Gehrke completed a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire in 1996, a Master of Arts in History at Marquette University in 1998, a Master's of Public Policy at the University of Minnesota (Humphrey Institute) in 2004, and a Ph.D. in History at the University of Minnesota in 2006. He worked for the Office of Legislative Budget Assistant in New Hampshire from 2006-2007, and joined the Saginaw Valley State University Department of History in 2007. He served as Special Assistant to the Provost from 2011-2014 and was promoted to Associate Professor History in 2012.
