Dr. HeyIn Gang joined the Scott L. Carmona College of Business at Saginaw Valley State University in Fall 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Management. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in organizational behavior, human resource management, human resource analytics, and leadership.
Dr. Gang earned her Ph.D. in Management from Iowa State University. Her research focuses primarily on leadership, gender, and diversity, as well as broader topics in micro-level organizational behavior and human resource management. Her research has been published in academic journals, including Personality and Individual Differences and the Journal of Business and Psychology. She has also presented her work at major academic conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and the Southern Management Association Annual Meeting.
Dr. Gang is especially committed to involving students in research beyond the classroom. She welcomes students who are interested in learning more about leadership, organizational behavior, human resource management, and workplace issues. She encourages students who are curious about research or considering graduate study to reach out and explore opportunities to work with her.
In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Gang contributes to the university through curriculum development, student engagement, and initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She currently serves as Chair of the CCB Undergraduate Program Committee and as the CT100 Faculty Coordinator.
