Geoffrey V. Carter is Associate Professor of English who earned his degree in Rhetoric & Composition from Purdue University. Carter teaches undergraduate English courses and his areas of interest include: video culture, composition theory, and digital rhetoric and multimedia writing. He has published articles in PRE/TEXT, Kairos, Enculturation, and Computers and Composition, and Hyperrhiz. He also serves on a number of editorial boards including Kairos and The Journal for Undergraduate Multimedia Projects (TheJUMP). His work has appeared in books like Speculative Rhetorics: The Future of Rhetoric, Writing, and Technology (UP Colorado, 2019)
In his spare time, Dr. Carter collects and repairs vintage pinball machines, plays acoustic guitar, and stays active with his three daughters, Vivienne, Grace, and Lily. He lives in Midland.
