Biography
Professor Schneider received his Ph.D. in Communication from Bowling Green State University. He received an M.A. and B.S. in Communication from Central Michigan University and an A.A. in Communication from Delta College. His research focuses on organizational communication, communication apprehension, and instructional communication. He recently presented his work on Communication Apprehension at the annual meeting of the National Communication Association.
Dr. Schneider is the program director for the Masters Degree in Communication and Multimedia, and is the chair of the Department of Communication. He has served as the chief negotiator for SVSU faculty since 1996 and was President of the Faculty Association from 1994 through 1997. He has served as an organizational consultant for 15 years focusing on leadership, conflict management, and motivation.
Dr. Schneider regularly teaches courses in Persuasion, Organizational Communication, Interpersonal Communication, Fundamentals of Communication, and Communication in the Classroom.
